Peterson Farms began processing tart cherries off our own farms in 1984. Our growth over the past years now allows us to market over 125 million pounds of frozen fruits and asparagus each year along with 5 million gallons of single strength apple juice/cider and juice concentrates.
Our 120 million pound entirely racked freezer storage is ultra-modern and totally computerized. Oceana Freezer, primarily used by Peterson Farms, is also a storage and distribution center for other West Michigan processors and is conveniently located at the Shelby Exit off US-31.
We manufacture and service electronic detection equipment for the cherry industry. This technology is used at Peterson Farms facilities and in numerous cherry facilities worldwide. Cherry Technologies holds the patent rights to electronic pit detection for tart cherries, sweet cherries, brine cherries and dried cherries.
Our trucking fleet ensures on-time shipments to our customers.
Our testing facility specializes in pesticide/herbicide and microbiological testing services for Peterson Farms and the fruit industry. This unique in-house facility ensures our products meet your food safety requirements each and everytime.
Our state-of-the-art fresh-cut fruit processing plant processes apples, grapes and oranges. This 30,000+ sq. ft facility was established in 2004. |
